Named spindles are spindles that have something a little extra special about them, something that makes me need to give them a name. They are made from some of the most prized and precious timbers in my collection.

Limited Edition Spindles will never be made again in the same wood and shape, if you like the look of this spindle, I would pick it up as soon as you can.

This is a Russian-style spindle, you will receive a spindle similar to the one in these photos.

This spindle has a split in the timber which has been treated. This treatment actually makes it stronger then the timber was originally.

Signature Series spindles are made with the same care and attention as all my spindles, however, a Signature Series spindle is made from the prettiest pieces of wood that I have. So just know, you will be receiving something very special indeed.

This heirloom quality spinning tool is an original designed and made by Jory Freyee and made in the workshop of The Spindle Shop - 2025.

The spindle shaft is made from Frogwood for strength, stability and long service life. The spindle tip is made from an insert of hard grade titanium for extreme long life. This design is very fast and light with an excellent spin and thin flicking tip.

Your spindle is finished to a smooth surface, polished with a french polish and then a final gloss of carnauba wax for a long lasting shine and protection.

The support tip has a fine smooth point for long spins. The flicking tip is slender and allows good speeds to be attained with ease. This spindle has a medium to high speed spin, long sustain and excellent balance.

Your spindle is checked for quality and spin before despatch and comes with tip protectors.
